It has been a long, long time!

Wow, it has been a VERY long time since the last post...yes- we are still in California, yes- I still work for Baby Signs Inc., yes-Pat is still at the Performing Arts School, and yes-there is an extra member in our family photo!
Here she is...Julia. She is full of smiles after her siblings gave her a bath!
Julia has been a blessing to our family! It has been wonderful to see how each of our children's presonalities really sho through as they interact with her!
I am embarrassed to say that she is already 10 months old and I am just now getting to the blogging, but maybe that is the reason :-)
The great part is she is using baby signs like crazy! I will be posting video clips soon! We will be attending our first Sign, Say & Play class tomorrow! Looking forward to spending time with Ms.Erin!

Leia the STAR!

So, I hope you see the link at the side to get a FREE Baby Signs DVD! I am so proud of Leia she is modeling the 35 child friendly versions of the signs on the DVD! She is also in the Revised Baby Signs Book (available on Amazon).

I have to share with you however, that now she is a year older and so when she sees the child friendly versions, she quickly shares that now she can do the ASL sign, too! TOO CUTE!

I love that the Baby Signs program has been such a wonderful part of our lives! I only wish that all parents could enjoy the experience of communicating with thier babies! It really gave my kids a great start and made my life so much easier!

I was thinking the other day about Noah's first sign...he was only 7 months! It was tree! And he is still my nature lover.

If you haven't started signing yet, please give it a try! I am sure you will not regret the decision!

FLYING CHILDREN

Playing catch up

Okay, I guess you can tell that it has been a crazy month...or maybe you thought I ran out of things to say. You are right the second option makes me laugh, too!

So let see...Kirby broke her thumb, Noah began swim team (and he is loving it), the school year ended, Leia graduated from Kindergarten, and much more!
Overall, it was a good month!

10 years!

It is Hard to believe that Noah is now 10!!!
He invited some friends to our house for a party. It looks like they had a great time! The cake/cookie is a Bakugan card (for those of you who are not watching). They are the "greatest thing on earth" according to the kids!

We heard a friend saying that the only girl to come to the party is Noah's "girl friend". However, it was obvious this was news to Noah. Pat and I were relieved! The girl on the other hand seems to agree with the friend based on the smile that was on her face!Swimming+ basketball+ food = FUN!

We had a GREAT day!

Keeping my hands busy!

So, I finally got the Invisiline braces! The great part is that it is a wonderful diet plan...no more munching! While I am wearing the braces I am only allowed to drink water. I have to take them out to eat and then brush my teeth before putting them back in. So no more snacks and no more slowly drinking a glass of wine or Dr. Pepper. Only a fast drink with my dinner or lunch!

So if this is the great part...what is the negative?? Glad you asked!

Well, that would have to be that now I need to keep my hands busy so that I don't want to stuff my face! So far this weekend I have painted a bathroom...more than just painting a color (see pictures below) and made a quilt for a friend who just became a new grandma (that includes buying the fabric, preping it and actually making the quilt).
Today is Memorial day and we had some friends over to swim with the kids...and it is a good thing, because who knows what I could have gotten into today! Although Pat is happy because I am finally getting to the things which I have been ignoring!

So my teeth should be straight in about a year, if the "diet" continues I should be thinner, but I am not sure that I will survive the nervous energy that I have found without my "snacking" habit. When I start cross stitching prom dresses I will seek professional help!
